Not every affiliate program is good to joined with. There are some factors that determine whether the affiliate program is good or not.
First factor is demand. Find a profitable market before you take any affiliate program. With a bigger market size, it will be easier to promote your affiliate products. Go to freekeywords.wordtracker.com and try to find a product that has a lot of searchers in the net.
Second is a commission incentive. Don't take any affiliate program that pay you 5 for digital products. You will earn more if you promote an affiliate program that gives 50 for commission.
Third is sales letter. All you need to do to promote an affiliate product is by referring people to the publisher's site. Then you just hope that the customer get convinced by the sales letter and then buy the product. So you need to choose an affiliate product that has a good sales letter. One of the best ways to tell if a sales letter is good or not is to read it by yourself and see how do you feel. If you don't feel persuaded to buy, then it is likely that many others will not, either. Your referral efforts can be waste if the sales letter doesn't convert well.
Fourth, the promotion material. The purpose to become an affiliate is to do less work and make more money. An affiliate program is already saved you some time and effort, but you would also want to do less work where ad-writing is concerned. Some affiliate program provide necessary promotion materials such as solo ads, ppc ads, sales letter, and even follow-up email.
Fifth, quality. This one is self explanatory. You may promote the product better if you really know that the quality of the products is good and you have tested it by yourself.
Another tip is cloaking your affiliate ID so nobody can steal your commission. You can go to TinyUrl.com to convert a long URL with your affiliate ID to a short one and you can hide that your link is an affiliate link.

Respect + Creditibility = Happier Customers & Higher Profits
When creating products for profit, think about the questions posed by Randy Charack in Chapter 2 of "The E-Code: 33 Internet Superstars Reveal 43 Ways to Make Money Online Almost Instantly---Using Only Email" by Joe Vitale.
"Would you rather pay a little more money and get a lot more? or pay a little less and get a lot less?"
He goes on to explain:
"If the product you are considering buying is designed to make you more money, and you will make a lot more money because of the built-in extras and the added bonuses, you will be happy to pay a little bit more. Right?"
The idea here is based on the following equation:
Respect + Creditibility = Happier Customers & Higher Profits
The easiest way to illustrate this is with a few examples. Consider the following:
Digital Product A
An ebook consisting of a 10 page .exe file (this can only run on a Windows PC and cannot be printed).
Looks like good information with a short sales letter product sells for $27.
Digital Product B
An ebook consisting of a 10 page .PDF file (this can be run on Windows PCs and Mac's)
Which product would you rather purchase? Even if the ebooks are identical, Digital Product B will likely sell a lot more copies, even though the price is higher, because of the perceived value. You are showing your readers respect by providing them time saving extras! You are also saving them money as well.
Of course, your site will also need to establish your credibility by providing testimonials and backing up your major claims, but you would have done this with either product. By adding the element of "Respect" for your customers, you make them happier and earn yourself higher profits in return!
So, how can you apply the equation to your info products? Well, when deciding what product to create and what content to include in the product, remember to show your reader "Respect".
Also remember that you need to add "Credibility" to the equation by providing a sound basis for your assertions in your ebook. You will also want to establish "Credibility" through your presentation of the ebook itself as well as through your website. Provide testimonials; back up your claims, etc. When you put Respect and Credibility together, you will have a Happier Customer, and that will provide you with Higher Profitability.
There are a number of ways that you can make money providing information to people online. One of the most profitable ways to do that is to create your own info product and to maximize it’s profitability by combining it with other people’s
products.

What is Niche Marketing?
Niche marketing instills trusting and long-term buyer to client relationships for a company willing to invest the time and money. Most other marketing campaigns seek to bring in immediate clientele or profit and often do not have dedicated repeat buyers. Niche marketing requires delicate information regarding the target group. Companies seeking out niche markets realize the grounds of sale seem relatively simplistic but find difficulty in actually obtaining customers from within the group.
Niche marketing targets groups of interest for people bound together by a certain hobby, activity or common belief structures. This makes it difficult for prospective salesmen to get a word in about a product or service. Your company must be dedicated to researching details about the group of interest before looking into ways of making a sale. A niche marketing company has a good advantage over others because time, investment and dedication to clientele secure life-long, business relationships. You will not have to depend on the marketing campaign to spark public interest in order to keep the business running.
Companies interested in niche marketing need to know a few key points about niche marketing success before creating a business plan. Key Points to Niche Marketing
1. Finding a niche for your product or service is only the beginning.
2. Time must be dedicated to researching the niche, learning inner-circle jargon and getting to know real reasons why the niche might like to buy your product or service.
3. The most difficult and time-consuming aspect of a niche market pertains to establishing long-term, trusting relationships with prospective clientele. This could take anywhere from 1-3 months and the more time you dedicate to establishing the relationships before making a sale, the better your future selling market will be.
4. Talking with the community and participating in events provides a foot in the door. Be careful not to come off arrogant about details you know about the niche. Your target audience has been at their interest or hobby for quite a while and won’t take very well to what seems to be a “know-it-all”. Try and side yourself with the group leader and learn from them as if they were your mentor.
5. Make sure to have a business plan including after-sale customer satisfaction mechanisms. Letting a customer know they were more than just a sale secures the individual’s return business.
6. Niche marketing requires work. There is no way around the investments you need to make when targeting a group of interest. Don’t be discouraged. The investments often return two-fold or three-fold in niche marketing success. Ad campaigns, eBook or mass advertising tactics do not hold much ground within niche marketing. Most advertising campaigns should be done by word of mouth, being involved in the community. Providing excellent customer service will help ease the buyers into your product or service. Never move too fast, and don’t go to slow in the beginning stages of niche marketing.
There stands a fine line between being accepted or trusted by the group of interest and having the door closed to sales because you came off as a shady ‘sell and run’ salesman. Keep your morale up when starting off in a niche market. There’s nothing more appealing to a group of interest than confidence in one’s product or services. Niche marketing can be fun and extremely profitable in the long run given the right investments.

10 Ways of Getting New Product Ideas to Profit Online
As an internet marketer, one of the most difficult things to do is coming up with product ideas. If you are new, it is even more difficult as you have no clue where to start or if the idea is going to be a hit.
Here are a few tips that may give you some ideas on how to go about getting new products into the market. If you like an idea, make sure you implement it.
“An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.”~~ Gautam Budha
Problems people face
This is one of the easiest ways of finding out what people are looking for. Go online to observe and understand what problems people are having. Once you identify a problem, think of how you can help solve it. It is easy to find problems on the internet, by checking the various questions and complaints people have. Yahoo answers is one of my favorite places to find what people are looking for. Their questions are your answers.
Following Trends
Trends keep changing. Internet is a fast changing medium where the flavor of the day changes with every passing day. One day it is Britney and the other it is Whitney. In internet marketing, it could be Butterfly Marketing one day and Bum Marketing the other. You need to find ways to capitalize on these constantly changing trends. There is a product you can come up with for every trend. You need to keep pace and watch the market carefully to see what is hot. During the cricket world cup, come up with something related to cricket and watch the sales.
Improve on a product
One of the more easy ways to come up with product ideas is to scrounge the market for products and see how you can improve on an existing product and come up with a better product. This is something that is commonly done but it works each time without fail. You will have to choose products that are in huge demand. With the research for demand being taken care of by someone else, you have conquered 90% of the market, the rest is the 10% you are going to add to the existing product.
Introduce a product in a new niche
This idea entails looking for products in a particular niche. Find a product that is doing great in one niche and introduce a similar one in a different niche where it may be useful too. Of course make sure that it has not been used in the niche before. I am sorry; here you can’t afford to get away from research.
Adding to a physical product
If you are looking at physical products, take an already existing hot product and add things to it. For example, if a certain Golf ball cards are hot, add a Golf ball and a Golf cap or something that is related to it. This mix and match is great and there will be no end to options.
Old product
You may have come across some old products that people have totally forgotten about. You may get that product and see what you can do to make it fresh and invaluable to the existing market, and launch a great comeback. A few latest innovative additions and changes to the product and it is as good as new.
Ask your list
If you already have a list, this tip will help you come up with a new product idea. Ask people that are already on your mailing list, what THEY want. Make sure you are not selling them any product in that mail where you ask them their suggestions. This will make them feel important and trust you well enough to give you great ideas. You’d be surprised at the ideas people come up with. All you need to do is ask them. Who knows, just a single suggestion could be the beginning of a new product.
Combine two products
Take two products and combine them into a single product. Find two products that sort of compliment each other, for example, a budgeter and a planner. If it is an ebook, then make enough changes so that the flow is perfect and it does not look like two pieced thrown together. Once you are through with that, get it packaged attractively.
Surveys
For website owners, it is a good idea to conduct a survey on the website. Ask your visitors what sort of products they would like to see you come up with. This will certainly be a great way to get some product ideas.
New market
Take one of your products, I mean existing products, and find a fresh new market for it. You will have to make enough modifications and add bits and pieces to it, to make it look like a new product to woo the new market. Then repackage it and there you have a brand new product in a brand new niche.
There will certainly be several others, all you need to do is look around and imbibe what is happening and you will find the answers yourself. Where there are questions, answers are found automatically.
