AdSense Simplified Ad Management Feature Went Live

AdSense's new ad management feature finally started rolling out to publishers yesterday. But not all AdSense publishers can see this new feature yet in their account because it will take some time to roll out the feature to all publishers. As mentioned earlier in Google AdSense blog, the new feature is designed to help publishers optimize their AdSense ads in a more easier manner and save their time.

I login my AdSense account just now, there is no ad management feature appearing yet. So I still didn't have to chance to use this new feature and have no idea how good is it in helping AdSense publishers to make money with AdSense.

The Beginner Tips for Making Money on eBay

Are you planning to become an eBay seller or are you just becoming an eBay seller? If so, you may still in the process of learning the ins and outs of eBay. Owing a small eBay business can help you make extra money and when your small eBay business grows, you can earn enough to support yourself. To become a profitable eBay seller, there is a need to fully learn the ins and outs of eBay. But unfortunately, it takes time to learn all of them. Below are some helpful tips that you won’t necessarily find explained on eBay.

Every eBay seller who want to start an auction to list their items for sale on eBay must pay fees. eBay will charge you two separate fees, which are

1) Listing fee or insertion fee and
2) Final value fee.

You'll be charged a listing fee at the time you list your item. The amount of the listing fee you have to pay is depending on your listing price. For example, now, it costs .20 to list an item for sale up to .99 cents and .40 to list an item between $1.00 and $9.99, and the fee scale continues up in a similar fashion.

For the final value fee, You need to pay only when your listed item sold. The fee will be calculated based on a percentage of the price that your item sold for.

I believe all eBay sellers know that there are eBay fees to pay for listing their items. But many of them seldom take the time to thoroughly understand those eBay fees. You are advised to review the eBay fee structure and understand them clearly, as they can help you save money. For instance, many of the price ranges for eBay’s listing fee scale ends at .99 cents. For you, this is a good way to save money, but you need to know how to do so. As stated above, if you list one of your items at $9.99, the sample listing fee would be only .40 cents. But do you know that if you listed your item at $10.00, your listing fee can increase to around .60 cents! An increase of .20 cents of cost just for a penny is expensive, especially if you list a number of items in different auctions that way. So before starting an auction to list your item for sale, always check the eBay listing fee scale to see how you can save money easily, sometimes by just cutting a few cents off your asking price.

A successful auction usually has a good product descriptions and clear pictures of the item that is selling. Of course, having several photos and pictures give you better chances of making a sale, but it can be costly doing so. Adding one picture in your eBay auction is free. Additional pictures can be bought for a small fee, but that small fee can add up overtime. So a lot of eBay sellers limit the number of pictures they include in their auctions; however, you do not want to do this. Instead, you will want to check out photo sharing sites. Photo sharing site like PhotoBucket is a good and free way to add more pictures to your eBay auctions. Join a photo sharing site, like PhotoBucket, follow their instructions and you should be saving money in no time at all.

The above tips are just a few of the many tips that can help you save money on eBay. In all honesty, you should do some research first and the Internet is a great way to learn and research selling on eBay, as many other eBay users will share their money making secrets with you, free of charge.

Setting Up an Online Business on a Tight Budget

With the internet, it is much easier to start on online business. An online business is perfect for people who have to work from home, such as stay at home parents, retirees, the disable or simply someone who prefer a flexible lifestyle. So you have come to a decision to set up an online business. However, just like most who are just starting out, you have a shoestring budget, how can you get going? Do not be discouraged as it is very possible to start a small online business on a small budget.

First and foremost you could start off by looking for free domain names. Because there are so many companies around who are now selling domain names, the market has become quite competitive. But there are a few sites around that will register a domain for you at no charge. However, there is a catch with some of them in that they will set themselves up as the administrator for your domain and then only transfer ownership to you after a set period of time for free or will charge you a small fee. Some will even put some form of ads on your website.

A better option is getting a free blog. Blogs are very popular nowadays and it is so easy for beginners to get started. You can use a blog to advertise your business in a personal way. Unlike website, blogs allow you to add your personal thoughts as well as allows interaction with your readers. Offer a freebie or an email course, get hold of your prospects' email and you can advertise to them time and again. All these are possible with free blogging platform such as Blogger.com or Wordpress.com. There are plenty of other blogging platforms out there, but Blogger is my personal favorite as it is very user friendly and your blog will get indexed fast by the search engines.

If you are setting up a website but do not have the means to pay for $10 a month for hosting, then you can look for sites which will host your site for free. However, before you jump straight into a free hosting plan, there are some drawbacks using free hosting. Most of these free host sites will place a banner at the top of your pages in exchange for their free service. This is another good reason to use free blogging platform. Most of these blogging platforms will host your blog for free. Some of them even allow you to add your own advertisement or banner on your blog, such as Blogger.com.

If you already have your products for sale, then go ahead a create a simple webpage or blog explaining the benefits of your product. However, What if you are someone who do not have their own product for sale but still wants to make money online? Is that possible? Of course! You can either create a new product to sell or be an affiliate to sell someone else's product. Creating your own product is not as daunting as it sounds but it does require some expenses such as hiring a graphic designer, copywriter or ghostwriter. Of course unless you can do all that by yourself.

A better option is to start out as an affiliate marketer. An affiliate is someone who promotes other people's products and in return receive a commission for any sale or leads generated. This is a great way to start your online business as it involves low start up costs and no special skill. If you use free blogs, you can even eliminate any start up cost. For an idea of just what kinds of products and services offer affiliate programs, check out Clickbank.com or ComissionJunction.com. Both of these sites are generally at the very top of most affiliate marketers' lists.

To conclude, starting an online business is much easier compare to a brick and mortar business. Starting an online business does not need a huge start up capital which makes it very easy for anyone to get started online. So start taking action today!

Google Adwords – Ad Writing Strategies (Part 1)

Thinking of starting an adwords campaign? On the surface, the Google Adwords system looks deceptively simple. All there is to using Adwords is creating ads, setting the cost for your keywords and letting them run. The problem is, it is not as simple as that.

The most important and difficult part of your Adwords campaign could be the ad itself. The bottom line is that if your ad is not compelling, nobody is going to click on it. Considering the fact that you only have 3 lines to work with, you have to be very clever and come up with lines that are going to work.

How do you write that ad? There exist many theories on construction of ads, and they all work fine, but only for some segments of people. The key here is that you are not going to appeal to every segment. You have to choose your target market and make ads for that market.

Learning a few ad-writing techniques for Adwords will be of help to you. After all there is only so much you can write in 3 lines of 35 characters each.

Take your ad writing one line at a time.

Headline – This has to capture the attention of whoever sees your ad. If you are selling a book on natural acne cure, you may use a headline that says “Cure Acne Naturally.” Since you have only 35 characters, make it short, powerful and to the point. Make sure your main targeted keyword is also there in the headline. Mind you, this is important. Google highlights searched keywords in bold in your ad. When people scan the search results, they always look for keywords they entered. Most searched keywords that are highlighted in bold help catch attention. This is the reason ads with searched keywords perform better than the ones without.

First line – The first line of your ad is as important as the headline and should be as powerful. There is certainly no room for fluff. The first line of your ad should show the main benefit of your product. As discussed above, if you are selling an acne cure that is natural and will cure acne in 3 days, the key benefit of your product is the 3-day part. Your first line could read ‘Cure Your Acne In 3 Days, Stay Younger Looking, Lose Weight, Get Healthier, Live Happier, etc.” This is sure to grab people’s attention.

Second line – The second line of your ad needs to reinforce the first line. In the first line, you gave the most important benefit of your product, that acne would be cured in 3 days. The second line will contain the most important feature, which is “Natural Cure”. So, the second line would be something like “All Natural Cure Guaranteed.”

Let me tell you, this kind of ad will certainly get people to your website. It then depends on your sales copy to do the job of making them buy your product. I agree, those 3 lines of ad are not going to get people to buy your product, but will surely get them excited enough to get to your website.

Google Adwords – Ad Writing Strategies (Part 2)

Let me reiterate that there are many things you need to keep in mind while creating a Google ad. Let us discuss these:

Demographics of the target market. Geographic location of the people you are targeting, their income levels, gender, and age, among other things. These demographics will give you an idea of what sort of messages your audience is going to be receptive to. The same writing style for urban women and rural males is not going to work.

Buyers new to your product or familiar? If your product is new, you will need to explain a bit more in your ad, tell them what problems your product is a solution for and why they will need the product. If your product is known to people and is being searched for on a daily basis, just add some sizzle to generate more click-throughs.

Are you selling your product on price or quality? If you are selling the product on price, you may stress on ‘free shipping’ or low prices. It is important to mention certain words that are appealing, such as quality, guarantee, luxury, low price, free shipping, etc.

Call to action. Try and use words or phrases that catch the eye. Always be innovative and use call to action phrases such as, “Buy Today – Save 50%, “Download Free Trial Now”, or “Sale Ends Tomorrow.” You have to make sure the phrase used is relevant to your business, if not Google may reject your ad.

Do not use common words. Remove all words that do not need to be in the ad, like “a, an, in, on, the” etc. Make sure every word in the ad makes sense and counts.

Deter freebie seekers. Your ad should be a deterrent to freebie hunters. It helps to include the price of your product at the very end of the ad. This will help improve the conversion rate and lower the customer acquisition cost. This may reduce the CTC, but you don’t want people who have no intention of buying clicking on your ads. You only want to target potential customers.

Ad writing for Google Adwords is an art. There are many top marketers who have a tough time writing ads for Adwords. Adwords gives you 3 lines and 105 characters to get people to your site.

Initially, it will be difficult writing ads, but then as you do it more often, it will come intuitively and you will automatically start thinking of headlines etc. As you get better at ad writing, the click through rates increase greatly. When your click through rate increases, the CPC will go down because Google will find your ads to be more relevant.

Making Money Online: The Necessities for Success

Online marketing can really be broken down into three segments: getting traffic to your website, building a list of prospects and giving those prospects and offer whether it be for your own product or for a product that you recommend. It really is that easy and the truth is that there are many successful online marketers that are not even making use of all three of these segments yet their still making money had over fist.

If it's so easy why are there only a few people who are actually successful at it in comparison to the number of people that want to do it? You cannot really make the excuse that there is not enough information freely available to learn how to succeed at online marketing. There are thousands of websites willing to give away loads of free how-to marketing tactics.

The fact is that deep down most of the people who are trying their hand at online marketing do not really believe that they can achieve the kind of income that will allow them to quite their jobs work from home full time. Do not misunderstand thousands of people are buying courses and new exciting tools every single day that claim to make them money almost without lifting a finger. That is precisely the problem. Most people jump in on the opportunities that claim to make them thousands of dollars with no effort. People buy into it every day.

The truth is that no matter what system you buy into whether free or paid some amount of effort is required. Maybe it will only take 1 hour per day of specific tactics which is very little but it is necessary. When the rubber meets the road and people realize that a consistent effort must be put forth then tend to jump to the next exciting opportunity because the small amount of work that is required seems to difficult in comparison to the next exciting opportunity that promises riches without effort and so the cycle repeats itself.

Please do not find yourself as one of those people who jumps from opportunity to opportunity. Find a feasible step by step guide and stick with it, it really is that simple.
