When it comes to making free money online the internet can be a scary place. There are plenty of sites, ads and blogs that promise you free money online but very few actually deliver. One of the easiest ways to make money online is to sign up for a service sponsored by Amazon.com called "Mechanical Turk." M-Turk is an "articial intelligence" service. The only problem I have with M-Turk is that the price per task is usually very low. Most tasks will only pay you about 20 to 30 cents...some much less. If you calculate the

time it takes to complete the task and get paid, you can only earn about 2 to 3 dollars per hour at most. That's not a very high return for your time... but it's better than nothing. The other good thing about Amazon's M-turk is that it's owned and operated by Amazon so you know it's somewhat legitimate and that you are going to get paid.

Another popular way to make free money online is by signing up for a paid survey service like Mindfield.com. These sites are promoted everywhere on the web including Craigslist. These sites promise to pay you for your opinion on new products and services. This is true... but there's a catch. First, they require you to give them all your personal information, which is always a bit concerning. Second, they pay you to test products--but you need to buy the product or subscribe to the service first. For example, last month I signed up for an online postage service. The survey website I signed up through promised to pay me 1 dollar to try the service for free. However, signing up for the postage service was a year commitment at $14.99 a month with the first month for free. They automatically bill your credit card for the second month unless you call to cancel. And yes, you guessed it: I forgot to cancel. Thus, I ended up getting charged $14.99 for something that only paid me $1. On one level it was my fault for not cancelling. But, in this busy world... it's easy to forget to cancel a monthly service like this and find yourself on the line for something you do not want or need. Thus, I recommend that you stay away from "paid survey" sites. They do work if you are diligent in cancelling the services you sign up for. But these sites make their money by banking on people signing up for the service and forgetting to cancel. In my opinion the risk is not worth the reward.

There is a third way to make free money online that we like very much. It involves opening up zero percent credit cards and creating an "arbitrage" situation for yourself. It is not as complicated as it sounds and works every time. But it is too long to go into here but, nonetheless, it does work. I've done it, and the money can be substantial.

So, the answer is yes! There are some legitimate ways to make free money online but you need to be very careful about which method you use. Be careful or you can end up losing more free money than you make online.

Forum marketing is one of the free methods that the Internet marketing experts keep on encouraging people to use for promoting online business and generating web traffic. As it is free, many webmasters and e-entrepreneurs like to use it to market their website and business. Those who achieved good result in their forum marketing campaigns not just getting free targeted traffic but also making more money online.

In order to use forums effectively to generate traffic for your money making website, several things are required.

Before joining any forum, you must do some homework and research.

In order to be successful online you need to be a motivated bull. In the case of Rocky Balboa you need to have the “Eye of the Tiger”. You have to have a hunger for something you may not even be sure you can attain, but you know you will either succeed or perhaps die trying (proverbially speaking or course).

Too many approach money making ideas with an, “Awww, what do I have to lose? Sure. I’ll give it a try.” They pursue online business opportunity with all the backbone of cooked linguini. The first time they hit a wall of opposition they fold backward under the pressure and lie there broken and confused.

If your eBay selling business is lacked of buyers, you could quickly fail. You need to have as many customers as possible to make you eBay business a success. One proven way to maintain and grow your eBay business for success is by building a customer base. Building a customer base takes extra effort and time but it is worth doing it because a customer based can bring you steady revenue from time to time.

A customer base is basically all of those people who have bought from you in the past and it can be a literal gold mine. Putting them together will become a customer based of your own. The good thing about selling to existing customers is it is easier and less costly to entice them to purchase from you again.

Each sale is actually your most important sale. If possible, try to treat every customer as your most important customer and you will have a good chance of getting return business if you ask for it. This is the key to make money again and again from your customer base.

Here is one of the ways of getting repeat business from your customers. Build a wish list. Ask your customer if there are any related items that they are looking for. This will work especially for the items like collectibles, antiques, vintage and designer clothes, books, and other media categories. After a buyer got their item and you are confident that they are satisfied with the purchase because you have provided excellent customer service, ask them if there are any other related products that they would like to obtain and also ask them if you can email them with auctions that they might be interested. I bet many of them will say yes and you get to know what other related items you customers are also interested to buy.

Once most of your customers replied you about what other items they are interested to purchase. You can start putting together all of these wanted items into a wish list of your customers. So, you may begin to order your inventory based on the items in the wish list. Once you got the inventory, it is time to put these item up for auction. Provide the buy it now option as well for each auction and then let your customers know about these new auctions so that your customer can buy it quickly if they desire. This is a technique applied by many eBay PowerSellers to generate consistent profit.

Moreover, let them know about your free newsletter and invite them to sign up. Yes, you need to create a newsletter.

Why it is important to publish your own newsletter? Customers could easily forget you and your business. If you don't communicate with them every 30 days or so, they will forget you. By inviting them to sign up your newsletter, you can send them information that they want to read on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. This will help you stay in touch and establish a good relationship with your current customers.

Tell your customers that becoming your newsletter subscribers will get promotional discounts that others will not get. The length of your newsletter does have to be very long. One page with about 600 words will be sufficient. Feature a topic of general interest to your customers in each publication. For instance, if you are selling antiques, you may write about how to detect fraudulent antiques items when shopping on eBay. Then offer a discount to subscribers who make a purchase or win an auction in that month.

Building a customer base will secure the grow of your eBay business but be sure you keep in touch with them. Good communication between you and your list of customers will result long-term repeat business.
