Ways to Make Money Online by Writing (Part 1)

Why write? Good question. Some people write for the sheer joy and others write only to earn. Some others enjoy writing with a passion and monetize on their source of joy. This is the best way of earning money, doing something you love.

Writing is huge business. You will understand what I am saying, if you look at New York Times bestseller list. Those people make tons of money. I am definitely not suggesting that you are going to make fortune writing, but if you write well and follow a marketing plan, I don’t see why you can’t earn a full time income online only with writing.

There are several means of earning with writing, writing for companies, freelancing, and writing for yourself.

Writing for companies
The upside of writing for others is that it IS paid for. You will never have to bother about visitors going to your website and buying your product. You are paid upon delivering the article. Writing for companies entails constant work, but many companies pay within one week to two weeks.

Here is a list of genuine companies that pay for your writing.

Associated Content
This is one of the easier sites to submit your articles. You get paid in the range of $3 - $40 per article. You will be able to make a lot of money if you write on topics that are in demand. They have a help section explaining how to go about this.

You can register with them for free. You will be in the ‘guest status’. This status is enough for you to make money with them. You don’t have to upgrade to full membership, as it is not required for submission of articles. They pay a minimum of $20 per article and even more if you write on any premium topic. You even get royalties on your articles if they become popular and have more page views. Although it is slightly hard to get approval, it is worth getting into if you are approved.

Jungle Page
This is an online resource center for students and they accept articles on a wide range of subjects. You will be asked to submit a sample article of three pages listed there, to get approval. It is not difficult to get approval and once you do, they employ you and you can make money. Be careful with quality, as they are one of the better money makers. They are free to join. Their business is seasonal and you get lots of work before graduation, from April to June.

Write For Us
This is serious money for you. There is a CATCH. They have very limited topics you can write on. This is for people who have enough knowledge about computers. That shouldn’t be a problem for you as you are already working on one. The topics range from programming to search engine optimization. They pay high rates and they need a minimum 1500 word articles, unlike other sites that look for 500 word articles. This is a goldmine for tech-savvy writers, as you can earn some serious money. It is free to join.

POEWAR
You don’t have to register here. Just check out the job listings. It is difficult to get work here, unless you are top-notch, but just one job can get you anywhere between $150 to $300, and may take from a day to a couple of days to complete.
