The Dangers of Making Money Online
Let’s admit it: social interactions on the internet is not the same as in real life. You aren’t held accountable for things in the same way and people can’t see your face. Big companies try their best to dig into your pockets and time and get away unscathed. It leaves you angry and greatly discourages you from continuing to work on your goals. There are a few pointers I feel are necessary to share:
Read the Terms and Conditions! If the website doesn't have any, you shouldn’t go near it. I used to skim over the Terms and Conditions part until I realized that it’s used as a legal tool. For example, Agloco’s membership agreement reads:
"The amount of money that will be credited to your account for each hour of Active Surfing by You, or for the Active Surfing of Your Referrals or Extended Referrals (the "Hourly Rate(s)") may vary. You agree that AGLOCO™ may change (decrease or increase) any Hourly Rate at any time for any country or countries effective as of the posting of such new Hourly Rate(s) on the Global Payment Table.”
That basically gives Agloco the license to decrease the Hourly Rate to something which is completely worthless. If that were to happen, you might not have wasted money, but you wasted time. I don’t think Agloco is a scam, but I do think it is a rather sketchy business plan.
Don’t put your money down up front. Many schemes are designed to appear to be a real product when in fact they are luring you to join their business plan to recruit other members. This may be a pyramid scheme or something similar.
Don’t trust anything that a company claims about itself. Really, don’t. A company can rave about how great its customers are doing and how much they’re earning. The reality is that they can say that as long as it’s happened once before. For example, you will find any website which purports that you will get rich from their service has to put the following, somewhere on their site:
“Every effort has been made to accurately represent this product and its potential. Even though this industry is one of the few where one can write their own check in terms of earnings, there is no guarantee that you will earn any money using the techniques and ideas in these materials. Examples in these materials are not to be interpreted as a promise or guarantee of earnings. Earning potential is entirely dependent on the person using our product, ideas and techniques. We do not purport this as a "get rich scheme."”
Whatever their claims may be, you need to be aware this. You also need to be aware that what they really mean is that every effort has been made to accurately not get their asses sued. You need to come to face with the fact that it is a lot easier for scam artists to get away on the internet, and, due to these statements, virtually impossible for you to take them to court. Chances are you wouldn’t do such a thing anyways.
I had a chance to ask Mr. GPT a few questions about online scams, and he writes,
“Some advice I give to people looking to avoid scams is always check for payment proof. Sometimes the websites will contain a Payment Proof page, such as www.cashninjas.com. Other times, you may have to check their forums. Which brings me to my next point. Read up on the forums if they have one. Especially the "Support" section. Note what people are having problems with and how to avoid it.
”And last but not least, use Google to your advantage. Try typing in the site you're possibly going to join and add scam at the end. One of the well known scams, SurfJunky, still exists to this day. But by a simple Google search of SurfJunky scam, you can easily see that the program is a scam. Remember to read some of the links Google gives you as well. Just because one site says it's a scam doesn't mean it is. However, with SurfJunky, for example, you can easily tell the majority of the results say it is a scam.”
And now let’s look at a couple encouraging snippets out of Surf Junky’s Terms of Service:
“Surf Junky is currently in a beta testing phase. Members will be notified by email when Surf Junky is no longer in the beta phase of it's development. Any credit or commission earned during this beta testing time shall not be considered as payable income.”
And…
“Payments may be withheld by Surf Junky for any given reason for any period of time. Payment periods end on the last day of every month.”
It takes a lot less time to skim the Terms and Conditions than it does to figure out that it was a scam after all. The only reason I got tricked by this myself is because a blog I read recommended it. Clearly they hadn’t used it before.
The take-home message out of all of this is to realize that very few things are free. Those sites that are free tend to make it very difficult to accumulate money. If you want to make money online, realize that the only person who is going to protect you from scams like these is yourself.

Why write? Good question. Some people write for the sheer joy and others write only to earn. Some others enjoy writing with a passion and monetize on their source of joy. This is the best way of earning money, doing something you love.
Writing is huge business. You will understand what I am saying, if you look at New York Times bestseller list. Those people make tons of money. I am definitely not suggesting that you are going to make fortune writing, but if you write well and follow a marketing plan, I don’t see why you can’t earn a full time income online only with writing.
There are several means of earning with writing, writing for companies, freelancing, and writing for yourself.
Writing for companies
The upside of writing for others is that it IS paid for. You will never have to bother about visitors going to your website and buying your product. You are paid upon delivering the article. Writing for companies entails constant work, but many companies pay within one week to two weeks.

This is one of the easier sites to submit your articles. You get paid in the range of $3 - $40 per article. You will be able to make a lot of money if you write on topics that are in demand. They have a help section explaining how to go about this.

Balancing Time and Money when looking at Online Business Opportunities
The internet abounds with business opportunities for people looking to make extra money. Many of these opportunities are out right scams, some have great potential but include hidden traps and costs in time and money, some make great assumptions about your technical ability or the depth of your pocket and some are just plain stupid unproven ideas.
How do you begin? The first decision often overlooked is what are my available resources of time and money? You need to ask yourself whether you have the required time to research, develop, complete and run the business being presented? Be cautious about any, “You can make money in 15 mins from now” claims. That may be true in theory, but in reality it’s most unlikely, especially if it’s your first business online. They often include some technical setup and involve marketing methods that have their own learning curves. The financial return is likely to be a small amount requiring a great deal more time to make a living. The worst scenario is when the hidden financial costs involved with an opportunity cause you to come to a grinding halt or even worse still render you bankrupt or heavily in debt.
So how do you get around these problems? Firstly, don’t buy into the, “act before midnight” temptation and do as much homework on the offer as you can. If this is before midnight, all well and good but don’t be pressured. Good places to go are the forums, scam watch sites and basic search engines. Include both the program name and the author’s name when doing keyword research in the search engines. Get the response of others and if it has the slightest hint of suspicion, keep well clear. Be careful also of the responses that offer to help you if you, “join under them”. They may have another agenda!
Next, evaluate the track record of the opportunity and those presenting it. Businesses with a long established record may give you more security, but balance this with a realistic evaluation of market potential and whether your target group is saturated. You may well find you have a better chance with a new opportunity if those running it have a track record of success in other business ventures and want to expand their business portfolio. If there is no track record for either, then it may well be the next Microsoft, but it’s a big risk you have to evaluate carefully.
Next, do that all important research on the ongoing costs of both time and money. You probably won’t get answers to questions like, “How long will it take me to make a million?” but you may be able to find out what time and financial input are recommended to get you onto a path of financial security. If you’re really fortunate you may even get some examples and case studies of those who have achieved success in the industry.
Next, make the decision whether you have the time and money required to follow their recommendations. Can you really afford the time and money to achieve success online? Evaluate what sacrifices you will have to make and whether you have the agreement and support of your family.
Finally, take action. This could be to go ahead with a chosen opportunity or flush it and look for another. Either way be sure you do not get stuck with inactivity. Decide and move on.

So how do you get around these problems? Firstly, don’t buy into the, “act before midnight” temptation and do as much homework on the offer as you can. If this is before midnight, all well and good but don’t be pressured. Good places to go are the forums, scam watch sites and basic search engines. Include both the program name and the author’s name when doing keyword research in the search engines. Get the response of others and if it has the slightest hint of suspicion, keep well clear. Be careful also of the responses that offer to help you if you, “join under them”. They may have another agenda!
Next, evaluate the track record of the opportunity and those presenting it. Businesses with a long established record may give you more security, but balance this with a realistic evaluation of market potential and whether your target group is saturated. You may well find you have a better chance with a new opportunity if those running it have a track record of success in other business ventures and want to expand their business portfolio. If there is no track record for either, then it may well be the next Microsoft, but it’s a big risk you have to evaluate carefully.
Next, do that all important research on the ongoing costs of both time and money. You probably won’t get answers to questions like, “How long will it take me to make a million?” but you may be able to find out what time and financial input are recommended to get you onto a path of financial security. If you’re really fortunate you may even get some examples and case studies of those who have achieved success in the industry.
Next, make the decision whether you have the time and money required to follow their recommendations. Can you really afford the time and money to achieve success online? Evaluate what sacrifices you will have to make and whether you have the agreement and support of your family.
Finally, take action. This could be to go ahead with a chosen opportunity or flush it and look for another. Either way be sure you do not get stuck with inactivity. Decide and move on.
When you evaluate the financial aspect you should consider a number of things. Ask yourself, is this expense training me, giving me resources to build a business myself, or buying in the services of someone already proven and experienced to do it for me? Consider too whether it’s the total expense or one of many. That will affect the overall time required to build your business.
Finally you need to evaluate whether you want to work your time, work your money or a combination of both. You must make an informed decision and take control of it.

AdSense Upcoming Feature: Make Changes to Ads without Replacing Code

An important point to note here is that a keyword can be either singular, a combination of more than one word or a whole phrase. This first group of Google Adwords Keywords then needs to be expanded.
Google's own keyword suggestion tool is excellent for this purpose - simply feed each of your current keywords in turn into the tool.
The tool will provide further suggestions to increase your Google Adwords Keywords list and you will soon see the number of keywords in your list expand and multiply. Quite soon you will have an almost overwhelming list of relevant and not so relevant keywords.

Rarely would you see an e-commerce site, big or small, that is without an opt-in list.
An opt-in list allows for a company to market their wares and site via an e-mail. With an opt-in list, a site and a subscriber consents to sending and receiving a newsletter from your company. Through this, you can keep your subscribers abreast of what is currently available in your site as well as whatever is coming out.
And because there is mutual consent between the two parties, any mail sent to the list is not considered as spam mail. There is a great number of successfully read promotional materials such as catalogs, newsletters and such that are sent because the subscribers themselves have signed up for them, meaning, they do want to be sent those items.

How much do you know about affiliate marketing? Enough to become filthy rich or just enough to have a few extra dollars every month? Most fit the second description.
Prospective(?) millionaires will jump into affiliate marketing thinking all they have to do is get a Clinkbank link, choose a product they like, buy some cheap traffic, use some free traffic sources and start a PPC campaign. Soon after, they start the learning process. Cheap traffic isn't worth it, free traffic does not work unless you (know the secrets and methods) and PPC has proven to be a nightmare for many.
Now after a rough start our prospective millionaire is sitting scratching his head wondering where he went wrong. If you don't have a solution to his dilemma, you have a lot to learn before you can become a successful affiliate marketer.

You will find many methods for this and everyone will tell you their's is the best. I was taught to find and research a certain group that are passionate about there interest. Take golf, these people are a very passionate group and their spending habits on golf related items proves this true. If you research the golf industry from the players prospective you will find everything from e-books on improving your swing to high dollar equipment and everything in between. You may find your research shows a totally saturation of this market and thus requires you to be a marketing wizard just to get a small piece of the action.
The point is you need training before you jump in or you may get discouraged and bow out early or actually lose a fair amount of money.
Another option is to make your own product, just an e-book will do and you don't need any knowledge of your subject. No knowledge, how is that possible?

Other things to consider are knowing when to drop a product, protecting your commissions and on and on. I think you get the picture, it's not as easy as some would have you to believe. It's like most things in life, you are going to have to put in some time and probably money to find success, unless you are like I used to - I knew it all!

There is a product you can come up with for every trend. You need to keep pace and watch the market carefully to see what is hot. During the cricket world cup, come up with something related to cricket and watch the sales.

One of the more easy ways to come up with product ideas is to scrounge the market for products and see how you can improve on an existing product and come up with a better product. This is something that is commonly done but it works each time without fail. You will have to choose products that are in huge demand. With the research for demand being taken care of by someone else, you have conquered 90% of the market, the rest is the 10% you are going to add to the existing product.
Introduce a product in a new niche
This idea entails looking for products in a particular niche. Find a product that is doing great in one niche and introduce a similar one in a different niche where it may be useful too.
